Gormenghast tells the story of a diverse group of characters living in an isolated rotting castle surrounded by forest.

I painted the backdrop that I photographed them on, with texture, mould, and oxidized copper to represent the damp decay of the castle in which they reside.

These characters showcase my abilities to age characters using liquid latex, facial hair, laying on hair, break down (dirt).

Sepulchrave- Earl

modelled by Caolan Radford

He is described as being bird-like, reminiscent of an owl.

Gertrude- Lady, wife of Sepulchrave.

modelled by Sarah Higgins

Lady Gertrude's character is stern and cold. She shows barely any affection for her children and spends her time with her animals.

Mr Flay

modelled by Liam Fahy

Mr Flay is the groundskeeper and seems to always knows everyone business.

The Thing

modelled by Bridget Ni'Dhunn Belcher

The thing resides in the woods, playing in the sun all day, eating raw meat and sleeping in the flowers.
