Illustration
This is a collection of illustration pieces, including commissioned works, a book cover, an album cover, and a series called "the gremlins" featured on my Instagram page @yazdrawz which I exhibited in several events and spoke about in a podcast.
Commissioned Pieces (2020)
These are some examples of commissioned pieces I've done. The first two are part of a series I did during lockdown titled "House People" in which I drew people integrated with their houses. The last illustration was for a girls 13th birthday comissioned by her mother, she is a young taekwondo champion.

Cover Design for "Why do We Get Sick? Why Do We Get Better?- A Wellness Detective Guide by John Dalton
(2020)
The book explores and explains the idea of Cranio Sacral Therapy and the practice of healing and identifying the mental and physical human aliments. It cleverly narrates it between two viewpoints, the skeptic customer and the practionioner. The first design is from the later stage of the cover, and the second is from the earlier stage. As you can see we decided to simplify the design, starting with a cartoon and childlike world that highlights two different planes- nature and civilization. This was to represent the books question, and idea that the further we get from our bodies and nature the more we loose touch and the more harm we inevitably create. We ended up simplifying the design and giving more to a visual understanding of yin and yang, with black and white and two different line qualities.

Album Cover Artwork for 1,2,3 KC
(2020)
These are a collection of images from the design process of an album by Katie Cogan, she wanted to incorporate mixed media photographs she had taken herself as well as illustration. The overall design theme she wanted to illustrate was conceptual with a mixture of natural textures found in rotting plants and seaweed, along with human elements of skin and body silhouettes. The album was to reflect a feeling in the songs, a sort of poetic chaos, disturbing sometimes but in that being human and relatable and very personnel to her life and experiences, She had three songs she wanted artwork for to release to Spotify.

This is the final cover for the song "extracurricular(up so late) which is about a hectic and party fueled time in her life. She wanted it to look fun and hazy, and a little bit chaotic, with elements of the architecture of the city in which this song was written.

These are a few images of the design process of the song "It Could Never be Lit". She wanted the cover to have elements of water, and a frightening face that is reflected in a window that she's passing to reflect the darker nature of the song. This was from a photograph that she took years ago that she wanted to use, and add to.
Gremlins
(2016-2020)
These are a collection of illustrations of these characters that I called "gremlins" that I exhibited a few times and sold as A5 prints. They're a humorous alter ego made to highlight the relatable and topical eccentricities of modern day culture.
